Project Details

About the project

The ranking for America’s Best Children’s Hospitals aims to provide parents of sick children with a comprehensive resource for informed decicion making for the best sites for children’s hospitals in the US. The ranking features the top 50 hospitals for Cardiology & Cardiac Surgery, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology & Gastrointestinal Surgery, Neonatology, and Oncology & Hematology, the top 40 for Pulmonology & Thoracic Surgery and the top 25 Neurology & Neurosurgery. The list is based on a nationwide online survey, where healthcare professionals with knowledge about pediatric care were asked to recommend leading children’s hospitals in the US. In addition, results from patient experience surveys and hospital quality metrics with a focus on indicators relevant to the subspecialties were analyzed.
