Excellent Employers: Audit for small and medium-sized enterprises in Germany 2024

The SZ Institut and Statista offer you the opportunity to register for an employee survey, conducted by Statista.

All companies with 50-499 employees in Germany can book an audit by filling out the registration form (see button below) here – an opportunity to determine your workforce’s satisfaction with your company as an employer.

The core result of the survey is summarized in a score from 0-10, with 10 being the top rating. Participating in the audit thus allows you to gain valuable insights in your company as an employer from the perspective of your own employees.

If the results of the audit conducted at your company show that your company achieves a score minimum, you will become an Excellent Employer in the category of Small & Medium-Sized Enterprises – and will be granted the right to license and use the Official Seal of Quality.

There is also added value for all other audit participants: everyone can order a detailed analysis of the results of their employee survey (insight analysis package).

As a media company and market researcher, it goes without saying that strict compliance with data protection rules and the anonymity of employees when completing the questionnaires is guaranteed.

What does participation cost?
Contribution towards costs of €590 plus VAT for running the employee audit Optional: booking of insight analysis package including detailed analysis of results (for €3,500 plus VAT) Optional - depending on score: Seal of approval license (for €5,900 or in a "bundle" with detailed analysis for €6,400, both plus VAT)
Is the questionnaire in English / other language available as well?
We can optionally program an English version of the questionnaire, which allows employees to choose their preferred language. Translations into other languages have to be done by you and will be programmed by us afterwards.
How can employees be contacted who don't have an e-mail address?
We have several options for reaching employees without email addresses. We would be happy to discuss these with you, for example: 1. we create the invitation as a letter. We can either send this directly to your employees or send it to you bundled as a PDF and you can distribute it. 2. we provide you with a general link and ask the employees to enter an individual code. This information will of course not be shared with the employer, but only used by Statista.

Is it possible to delete individual questions from the questionnaire?
Unfortunately, we cannot selectively delete individual questions from the questionnaire in order not to jeopardize the comparability of the companies.
When does the survey start and how long is the duration period of the survey?
The survey period covers one month. You can select in which period the survey should take place.
How often are reminders being send out?
Statista will send a reminder 2 weeks after the start of the survey. If response is low, we may send another reminder one week before the end of the survey period. At the same time, participating companies are responsible for communicating the employee audit internally with the aim of increasing the number of participants.
What does the Insights analysis package include?
The insights analysis package includes detailed analyzes of your employee survey. This includes an evaluation of your employees' willingness to recommend based on the Net Promoter Score model as well as an individual driver analysis, which gives you insights into the results for the following 7 drivers of employer attractiveness: image and growth, cooperation and supervisor behavior, further development and prospects, pay, Load and balance, conditions and equipment, sustainability. This allows benchmarking with the average values of your industry in Germany. You will also receive the results for all individual items on which the 7 drivers of employer attractiveness are based. In addition, the insights analysis includes an evaluation of the open questions and an international comparison with similar studies that Statista has carried out in the area of employer attractiveness.
What are the conditions for being awarded the seal of approval?
If the results of the audit conducted at your company show that your company achieves a score minimum of 7,0, you will become an Excellent Employer in the category of Small & Medium-Sized Enterprises - and will be granted the right to license and use the Official Seal. The evaluation is done on a scale from 0 to 10. Based on years of experience of analysis in the area of employer quality, an employer achieving a score of minimum 7,0 can be recognized.
