Project Details

About the project

Between July 5th and September 29th, 2024, Statista conducted broad surveys among tax and accounting professionals and their clients (e. g. Chartered Public Accountants (CPAs), Enrolled Agents, Tax Attorneys, Accountants, CFOs, etc.) in the United States.

Peers were asked to indicate up to ten tax / accounting firms they would recommend, if their company were not able to take on a client for a certain assignment or question (regardless of the reason). Clients were asked to name up to ten tax / accounting firms they would recommend based on their professional or private experience during the last three years.

The resulting top lists of “America’s Most Recommended Tax & Accounting Firms 2025” are based on the number of recommendations received from participants (peers and clients) and additional company data. To be considered for either one of the two top lists, a given company must receive a minimum number of recommendations for their tax and/or accounting services. The quality of tax firms or accounting firms that are not included in the lists is not disputed.
