Project Details

About the project

The research project “Canada’s Best Companies 2025” is a comprehensive analysis conducted to identify the top performing companies in Canada. The study was based on three dimensions: Employee Satisfaction, Revenue Growth, and Sustainability (ESG).

Employee Satisfaction was investigated based on survey data from a large sample of approximately 49,000 employees of Canadian companies over the last three years. The assessment included both direct and indirect employer evaluations by verified employees.

Revenue Growth was assessed using Statista’s database. To qualify, companies needed to generate a minimum of at least US $100 million in 2023 or 2024 (depending on whether the most recent data was published during the research phase).

Sustainability was evaluated using ESG data from Statista’s database and targeted research. Multiple Key Performance Indicators were used to create a comprehensive ESG index. These included carbon emissions intensity and reduction rate, Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) score, board gender diversity, existence of a human rights policy, and adherence to Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines.

Data was consolidated and weighted within a scoring model to create the final ranking. The top scoring companies were recognized as the Canada’s Best Companies 2025.
