For the seventh time, Forbes, in collaboration with market research partner Statista, recognizes the World’s Best Banks according to consumer feedback.

The aim of the ranking is to showcase the banks in 34 countries that best meet the needs of customers and thus to provide guidance and transparency for customers in the banking market. The best banks in every country are chosen based on an independent survey from a sample of more than 50,000 consumers representing 34 different countries. All financial institutions (e.g., brick-and-mortar-banks, online-only banks) offering a checking and/or savings account were considered in the study. Survey participants were asked to name all banks where they have or previously had a checking or savings account. The participants evaluated the bank on various evaluation criteria (e.g., Trust, Terms & Conditions). For each criterion, a detailed list of questions was asked. Based on the customer evaluations a score was calculated for each bank. In every country the banks with the highest score in their respective countries were awarded. In total, 385 banks are honored as World’s Best Banks 2025.
