Project Details
About the project
The process began with a pool of 5,000+ major companies, selected based on revenue, market capitalization, and public visibility. Using a four-step funnel approach, companies were gradually filtered down, step by step, to identify the top 500.
At each stage, a different number of companies were assessed across up to 20 distinct KPIs. The process began by excluding companies that did not meet basic sustainability criteria. In the following stages, the evaluation focused on three key areas: commitments and external ratings, reporting and transparency, and specific KPIs related to environmental and social stewardship. In the final step, a comprehensive sustainability score was calculated for each remaining company.
The 500 companies with the highest scores were included in the final ranking “World’s Most Sustainable Companies 2025″.
